Understanding Your Condition

Common spine conditions we treat

These are the main conditions suitable for endoscopic spine treatment and pain intervention. Diagnosis is confirmed during consultation, usually with imaging such as MRI or X-ray.

Lumbar Disc Herniation

Every treatment plan is personalised to your condition, symptoms, and the severity of nerve compression.

Depending on your individual needs, treatment may include medication, physiotherapy, image-guided selective nerve root block injections, percutaneous laser nucleoplasty, or endoscopic discectomy.

Lumbar Spinal Stenosis

With age, the spinal canal in the lower back can narrow and compress the nerves inside it. A common sign is pain, heaviness or numbness in the legs when walking or standing, which eases when you sit down or bend forward.

Cervical Disc Herniation & Cervical Foraminal Stenosis

In the neck, a herniated disc or narrowing of the small passage where the nerve exits the spine (the foramen) can press on a nerve root. This may cause neck pain, pain radiating to the shoulder or arm, and numbness or weakness in the arm or hand.

Vertebral Compression Fracture

A compression fracture happens when a vertebra (spinal bone) collapses, often due to osteoporosis or after a fall. It usually causes sudden back pain that worsens with movement or standing, and is more common in older patients.

Signature Treatment

Endoscopic Spine Treatment

PELD / PED — Keyhole Spine Surgery

This treatment option is available for lumbar disc herniation, lumbar spinal stenosis, cervical disc herniation, cervical foraminal stenosis, and vertebral compression fractures.

Unlike traditional procedures with large back incisions, endoscopic treatment minimises the burden on the patient. Through a small incision of 6–8 mm, an endoscope (a small camera) is used to remove the parts causing the problem, such as the disc, bone or ligament pressing on the nerve.

Depending on your condition, treatment may be done as day-care or with a short hospital stay, so many patients return to daily life sooner than with conventional open surgery.

Benefits of Endoscopic Treatment

Minimal Incision (6-8mm)

Shorter treatment time through a keyhole-sized incision that often requires no stitches.

Minimal Blood Loss

Typically equivalent to about one-third of a Yakult bottle, far less than conventional open surgery.

Faster Recovery

Typically equivalent to about one-third of a Yakult bottle, far less than conventional open surgery.

Pain Intervention

Nerve Block Injection

A nerve block reduces pain by injecting an anaesthetic or anti-inflammatory medication directly into the affected nerve or tissue. Persistent pain can worsen blood flow, releasing substances that trigger more pain and creating a vicious cycle.

Nerve blocks not only relieve pain but also improve circulation, promoting healing. Additionally, they can help identify the precise source of the pain, which guides further treatment.

Types of Nerve Block Injection

Facet Joint Block Injection

Trigger Point Block Injection

Sacral Hiatus Block Injection

Fluoroscopy-Guided Nerve Root Block

Sacroiliac Joint Block Injection

Radiofrequency Ablation
